Yesterday was a really nice but busy day! I went to the gym in the morning and was able to get a good cardio workout in. When I workout, I take my textbooks or workbooks to the gym and, while I'm on the elliptical, I try to get through as much studying as I can. I figure I might as well do something besides blankly stare off into space and wish the countdown clock on the elliptical would go faster. So, I got through about 3 chapters of World Religion studying yesterday. I'm not sure how much it helped since that class can be a tad confusing. Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Hinduism are all so similar and the names they use for things all sound the same to me. At least I have a month before the final. Hopefully I'll get it all down by then =)
After the gym I headed to class. I only have class on Wednesdays from 9-9:50 and then from 10-10:50. Needless to say, Wednesdays are one of my favorite days of my week! Following class, I worked with my partners for my group speech. We went in the library and found a study room that was open which was pretty sweet. We had a big table all to ourselves and, what we thought, was a sound-proof room. Unfortunately, we didn't find out it wasn't sound-proof until after we'd been in there for about an hour, talking loudly over one another mostly about things that were completely unrelated to our project. Keep in mind that this whole time, people had been walking past the room and giving us weird looks. Well, we figured out what those looks were for!
In the afternoon I was able to make it to Mira Mesa's last volleyball game. It was the senior game and they won! It was awesome to see the girls and see them play well!! I had to run the scoreboard for the varsity game and, when there is a timeout, we are supposed to watch the clock and not let it run out completely. If it runs out completely, the horn goes off and scares everyone. Well, I had never run the clock before and I accidentally let it run out not once, not twice, but three times. Sweet, Brianna! Great job! =P
On Wednesday nights I play volleyball in an adult sport league called Vavi. Its a lot of fun and I get to play with a lot of my friends. Our game was at 8 last night and we won! I love playing on a team where there is no coach to take you out or put you in. You just get to play the whole time no matter how bad or good you're playing. Bye-bye high school volleyball playing time politics!!!!
Its a grayish morning this morning and all I feel like doing is crawling back into bed and sleeping but, unfortunately, I have a full day of class and work. Hope you all have a great day!!! =)
